Tornado

So last night we got a little bit of a scare. We had a really bad storm come through. We were out at Blockbuster and right before check out we heard the dreaded sirens. The 2 clerks started talking about the sirens. Then they got a call from their manager and found out the warning was for a few miles away to the south so they didn't have to worry about it yet. The sky was very dark and the rain was unpredictable. The sirens continued on our drive home. Unfortunately we have a fire station right by our house and they had their sirens going as well. The sirens are so loud that they shake the windows in our house. When we got out of the car Garret started getting a little concerned since it was so loud. We were on a tornado watch. The counties just below us were on tornado warning, so they had a better chance of seeing one. I guess there were a bunch of funnel clouds, but only 1 tornado as of midnight. After the tornado scare stuff, we have been on flood watch and flash flood warnings. We aren't too concerned about the flooding since we aren't in the lowest area. We have a cellar so the house wouldn't flood anyway. I think we have gotten about 5 or so inches of rain since 7 pm yesterday and most of it was within a few hours. We didn't get hit as hard as other places so we are lucky for that. I guess that was just what we needed to see that we aren't prepared for a tornado. We do have a cellar, but we don't have the things needed in case one does hit us. We do have quite a bit of very old very big trees in our neighborhood. I think we are supposed to have storms for the next couple of days. Hopefully they won't be bad storms.
